Bachelorette Party Planning

Planning a Bachelorette Party can involve travel planning, meal coordinating, and entertainment plans that work for all invitees. Between the group chats, the PTO requests, and more than one "What should I pack?" texts, it can feel like a lot to manage.

The secret to a planned weekend is all in the communication. Whether you are the Maid of Honor or the bride-to-be, here is how to structure your planning and outreach so everyone stays on the same page and actually has a good time.

1. The "Save the Date" Initial Invite

The moment the location and dates are set, get that info out. You don’t need a full itinerary yet, but your guests need the "Who, What, Where, and When" immediately to budget their money and their vacation days.

The Template:

"Hi everyone! We are so excited to celebrate Mary Smithson for her Bachelorette Weekend in San Clemente, CA! 🌴

Dates: February 23rd – 25th

Stay: The Smith Hotel (123 Naple Street)

RSVP: Please let Alice know by January 15th (512-123-4567).

We’ll be heading to the beach and checking out the local nightlife—can't wait to see you all there! No need to reply to this right away; just wanted to get it on your radar."

2. The Detailed Weekend Itinerary

Once the RSVP list is locked, share a high-level flow of the weekend. This helps guests understand the "vibe" so they know exactly what to pack and, more importantly, when they have a little downtime to recharge.

The Template:

Friday: Arrive at the hotel by 5:00 PM. We’ll have dinner at Grapara Restaurant at 8:00 PM.

Saturday: After breakfast at the hotel, we’re heading to South Padre Beach at 2:00 PM. That night, we’ll hit Westo Night Club on 4th St at 7:00 PM.

Sunday: One last group breakfast at 9:00 AM before the Dress Fitting at 12:00 PM.

3. The "I Was Listening" Personal Touch

To make the group feel included, try to incorporate a few specific ideas from the bridesmaids. This shifts the weekend from a "scheduled tour" to a collaborative celebration.

The Template:

"I remembered someone mentioning they loved [Specific Activity/Drink], so I made sure we found a spot for it! What are some other 'must-dos' or snacks you’d love to have at the hotel? Open to any and all ideas!"

4. The Post-Trip Thank You

The celebration doesn't officially end until the "thank yous" are sent. After the trip, be sure to acknowledge everyone’s time, effort, and any treats or gifts they contributed.

The Template:

"Thank you so much for making the trip to San Clemente! Having you there to celebrate Mary made the weekend so special. I especially loved [Specific Moment from the Beach/Dinner]. Thank you for the [Gift/Coffee/Treat] and for being such an amazing friend. Can't wait for the wedding!"

When my customers ask which cards they should buy for their wedding or bachelorette trip,  I always recommend buying an affordable pack of themed notecards that match your destination theme or match the colors of your bridal party. For example for a coastal trip, I sell affordable thank-you cards with palm trees.

I love these palm tree cards (and yes, I’m a bit biased since I designed them for my shop!)

A stack of eight white envelopes and eight notecards with a green palm tree pattern on the notecards. The stationery set is centered on a white background
